Náni aka Ann Dee from the duo Ann Dee & Pia Kay released her solo album "You and I" in May 2003 under the name Náni. The name is actually a version of her nick name Nanni, as she is called in the family. Náni is a mixture of rock, soul and a little bit of blues and pop. She has always liked to mix genres, not to be bound to only one style. She has been singing in bands from early teenage years, later formed Ann & Pia and The Rockteam playing rock covers from the 50's and 60's, moved on to Ann Dee & Pia Kay with more pop/soul songs on the album "Woman Inside" released in 1995. With the duo they performed in tv shows, live gigs and music videos.
Náni is also a songwriter and has co-written several of the songs on her solo album. She has also co-written songs for other artists, among them "I'm Coming Home" released by the Japanese pop star Ayaka Hirahara on her album "Prayer". The song was written at a camp in Austria by Sonja Biskop, Jeff Franzel, Náni and Christian Knollmüller. The Japanese lyrics were written by Ayaka herself. https://open.spotify.com/track/6FGyO8dVdjIQp1UBk8sj5m?si=2edf4c913ec94d02
Náni aka Ann Slangar, is the owner of Dee Kay Records (1998) and co-owner and CEO of the music publishing company Sugar House Publishing (2004). Sugar House Publishing is strongly focused on writing music for the Asian market with numerous Multi Platinum awards over the years.
There hasn't been much time for personal creativity running Sugar House Publishing but she keeps up singing and performing in the show choir Nonen Vocals and also has a new upcoming release with a new vocal group called SASABEL.
